Brees is doing great. He is a pepper he reminds me of my older yorkie when he was younger and his name is pepper. Brees is very happy here we love him very much. I brush all of my dogs teeth every day and he is the best one and loves it he is the first one in line. Thank you for thinking about him.

Brees - Adopted October 2013
Lela (Formerly Mischa) - Adopted October 2013
Lela loves country living. She helps me garden. She likes to dig and chase the goats. She is curious of the chickens but does not chase them.We changed her name to Lela, my husband's mother's name. It evokes fond memories of his mother.I appreciate your work of rescuing such a wonderful companion not only for me but also for my husband.
Evangeline and Jolie (Formerly Sweetpea and Annabelle Lea) - Adopted June 2012
I have not updated y'all about Evangeline (Sweetpea) and Jolie (Annabelle Lea) in a while. It will be coming up two years in June that we have adopted them! Please pass them along to Diane, their foster mom!Last year for Halloween they were Beanie Babies! They had a great Christmas visiting both my family and Brendon's family. They have gone a few times to Camp Bow Wow and Evangeline's social anxiety is much better. We have a fishing camp in Venice and they have been loving going there and taking walks on the Levee.Their best friends are our Capone and Leela the Great Danes.I included a photo of Jolie protecting the house with our APAWS emergency sticker on our door.

Chloe - Adopted November 2013
Chloe is doing great. She gets along very well with her "fur" brothers and sisters, and she really loves her mommy and daddy. This little stinker follows me everywhere I go throughout our house. She has even come to work with me and is a very good "employee". She is a very sweet, playful and curious puppy and her lack of hearing doesn't slow her down. Chloe has been a great addition to our family. We are still working on her basic training including potty training (although she knows to go outside through the doggy door, she doesn't like to go alone), leash walking and manners. I've attached a few pictures (which are not easy to get as this little girl is always on the go).
Bentley (Formerly Blackie) - Adopted September 2013
Blackie is now "Bentley" and is doing great! He loves being outdoors and playing with Smudge, our Catahoula.
Gypsy (Formerly Sweetie) - Adopted August 2013
Sweetie is now known as Gypsy and she’s taken to her new home and new sister wonderfully. They romp and play for hours at a time. Gypsy was having accidents and separation anxiety but after the initial adjustment period, she’s been accident free and less anxious. She’s even put on a pound or two! After treatment for worms, our vet gave her a clean bill of health.
I couldn’t imagine a sweeter more loving girl. It feels like she’s always been a part of our family. I’m certain she was meant to be here.
Thanks APAWS volunteers!
Including photos of Gypsy and her sister Ginger Roux.
