Bruiser - Adopted August 2012

I wanted to give you an update on Bruiser. He is still quite the digger. We've had to fill his holes and backyard "escape routes" a few times.
We have a dog crate that he has claimed as his room. He gets in there every night to sleep even though he has a bed in the living room which he lays in when everyone is awake. He is a very unique fella but a sweet guy.
He is still adjusting to the new baby, we had a little girl 11 weeks ago. We haven't let him too close as he is a jumper when he's excited.

Shadow (formerly Wesley) - Adopted May 2012

Here's a photo of Shadow (previously Wesley) napping in between his sisters. He's a big cuddler!
A year ago we were looking for a small dog to add to our family - I had an idea for a fluffy little lap dog. At an APAWS adoption day I thought I'd found just the one.  I was cooing over it when my son walked up to me and the dog flipped out. We didn't go out looking for another lab, but Shadow was so sweet we couldn't resist.
He's affectionate and quite mischievous. He's a great playmate for our six year old, keeps our older girls active, and watches over our new baby.
Here he is taking care of my son when he was sick:

He's a happy dog and we're so happy we adopted him. Maybe he's so happy because he is convinced we have a tennis ball tree in the backyard.

Nala (formerly Padme) Adopted August 2012

She is doing fine.   She enjoys bird watching with her buddy, Max (who by the way) is the same age as her but twice the size.   She loves hunting bugs in the house and "chirps" to get us or Max to come and help.   She still is very talkative and has been a welcome addition to our family.
