Piper - Adopted December 2012

Piper is doing great. He was fixed and had his teeth cleaned in December. He did have some intestinal issues that took us months to get under control but he seems to be better. I guess those days of living on the streets took its toll on his tummy. He LOVES other dogs and our family, but he is still afraid of people. When he gets to know you he is a sweetheart. He goes to Central Bark Day Care 1-2 per week and Puppy Love Day Care occasionally for variety. He is so playful and funny. When Craig saw Piper he knew that he would be the right dog for our son, Aidan. That has definitely been the case. They love each other so!

Jodi - Adopted May 2013

Ms. Katrina doesn't have email and it comes to me (as her friend).  I had a chance to visit Katrina & her husband Ben, about 2 mos. ago.
Jodi has bonded to Katrina just like Ms. Katrina wanted and has become like an extension of Katrina.  She is very protective of her and the house.  Where ever Ms. Katrina goes, Jodi is there.

I got a get well card from Ms Katrina and there was a note written from "Jodi" thanking me for taking her mom out to adoption day.

Tried to get pictures but Jodi would have no part of it.  Sorry, will try again next time.

Chris

P.S.  Jodi has a special bed that she uses occasionally but she thinks the 2nd couch is hers at night.  It is near the door to their bedroom.

B.B. - Adopted July 2013

It’s been one month to the day that I adopted B.B. (aka Beefy, aka BeeBee), so I thought I would write to let know how he is doing.  The first few weeks were a bit hard on both of us.  He naturally missed Susan, his wonderful foster mom and I missed Baron, my dog that had died a month prior from cancer.  Thankfully, over time we bonded and  it’s been better and better every day.

We thought about changing his name, but in the end just shortened it to B.B. which sometimes means just that, but sometimes stands short for Bad Boy. J  He’s a real rascal, a true terrier puppy.  When he’s outside he loves to chase the lizards in the garden, knocking over any flower or bush in his wake or bark his ferocious “I think I’m a big dog” bark at my neighbor’s dogs, even though they are 5 times his size!

B.B.’s absolute favorite activity is going for walks- day or night, rain or shine.  I bought him a special harness (since he’s quite a puller) and as soon as he sees it in my hand, he stands up straight and even picks up his little short legs for me so I can snap it on easier.  B.B walks like he’s on a mission.  His nose is to the ground, investigating everything.  Living in the “big city” has been quite a change for my little country dog.  Train horns, giant storm drains, city buses, automatic doors were all new to him, but he quickly learned to take them in stride.

I am so happy that I took a chance on B.B. At first, I worried that I had made a mistake adopting him, worrying that I wasn’t quite ready for another dog. Thankfully, B.B. was patient with me and let me cry my tears for Baron into his soft, silky coat.  He allowed me to grieve and then when I was ready, showed me that I have so much more love to give.  He’s a wonderful buddy and a real joy to have around.

Thanks for giving me the chance to love another dog.

Jerry Boy - Adopted May 2013

We love Jerry Boy our newest member of our family. He is well trained, eats almost everything except citrus fruit, bananas, and red hots. He also does not like coffee. Still loves to have his belly rubbed and take a ride in the truck. We LOVE him very much. He adds  lots of love and enjoyment to our lives. THANKS for your good work..... Charlene and Jerry Wilson and Jerry Boy too.

B.B. - Adopted July 2013

Here are a few pictures of B.B. staying warm and generally enjoying himself.  He’s a wonderful dog and a great companion.  In the fall, he graduated from obedience class with flying colors.  He pulls me out the door every morning to get to the dog park so he can play and wrestle with his dog buddies.  We did find out that he suffers from pancreas problems, but thanks to great veterinary care, he is doing very well now.  He is on a special diet and has gained a bit of weight and seems to feel good.

Ginny and William - Adopted August 2012

I have renamed them, they are doing great!
